cake question

I am going to see about Audreys making our cake, but I am really clueless on what to expect for the price of cakes in general. I know 'it just depends'...but can anyone give me an idea of a range of price. Esp if you got your cake done by Audreys.

I am not planning on anything elaborate. Enough to feed around 75 ppl, white chiffon cake, fresh fruit filling, buttercream icing (light blue icing w/ choc brown scrolls), and maybe a choc brown fondant bow topper.

Even if you cant give me a specific idea of price, are there cakes usually reasonably priced?

Sorry, hate to ask about money but Im clueless on what to expect. FM me if youd rather do that. TIA!

Well if you are getting butter cream it can be about $2-4 a slice...alot of places in long island are a bit cheaper, so maybe 1 dollar and chance a slice and up to $4 a slice...dont pay more than that for buttercream, bc start $5 and up is the price for fondant. Fondant average price is $6-8, and go up alot higher for more difficult designs and also depends which place you get it from. But expect an extra charge for the fondant bow you want

Does your hall not include it in the price per person? I thought that most places did that on LI. I'm using Audrey's too, but it was included with my RH.

A really plain cake was included w/ our RH, but we wanted to go with Audreys instead. Our RH will give us credit towards the cake- $1 per person if we go with outside vendor.
