So you have different flavors of cake. One tier being one flavor, another is another flavor, etc. How do people select it? Do they just leave the sliced plated cake out for people at the dessert tables? In my experience, they hand deliver slices on plates to people. What if your cousin hates yellow cake and your aunt hates chocolate and they want a certain slice?

Re: Cake question - how does it work?
my cake wasnt served to guests at the tables. They took it out to the VH room and had it displayed and if ppl wanted they walked up and got it, the way you do during VH and they picked the flavor.
Sometimes they can ask the guests or ive seen it where they do both but smaller slices. Just ask your RH how they handle it.

its true, basically many times its about which tier they cut into first and where you are sitting.

Re: Cake question - how does it work?
I served three different flavored cupcakes (white, chocolate, and red velvet) with alternating icings (vanilla or chocolate buttercream or white chocolate cream cheese) and each guest was served randomly. If they received a cupcake flavor that they didn't like - they were encouraged to trade.
