Cake quotes

Hi!
I know this varies greatly by type of cake, but I'm having a difficult time deciding how to budget for my cake. I've seen on other sites that the price per slice ranges from $2-$20...that's a pretty big range!
I am looking for a tiered buttercream cake...nothing fancy. Does anyone mind sharing quotes to help give me a guideline?

My friend Rachel just started a business making cakes. She does amazing work and she quoted a friend of mine much cheaper than standard bakeries she looked into. She does beautiful work and it's all super delicious. Call or email her for a quote! http://popgirlbakery.com/
