Re: cake tasting
I don't have an answer to your question but I have one for you. Since your cake comes with your package do you get to choose your cake design?

Re: cake tasting
i think its basic yellow cake with choice of filling. we popped in the bakery a few months ago to look at some stuff and they said we can add on things. (obviously i have to pay). thats why i wasn't sure how much a cake even was to go to my own bakery and buy it instead

Re: cake tasting
find out who the bakery is and go in and taste the cakes for free or buy a smaller size cake. we are using audreys and we periodically go and get a desert to taste.

I don't have an answer to your question but I have to say that you will not be disappointed with Create-A-Cake! We get our kids' birthday cakes there and they do an amazing job!! Our family asks us every year, 'you're using that same bakery, right?' So delicious!!

Re: cake tasting
We went there and picked out our cake there a month ago - they show you pictures so you can get an idea of what is included in the package - you pay for anything over that - I'm sure that they will do red velvet cake - call and make an appt and ask them - they are in Port Jeff Station

Re: cake tasting
You could probably buy a small cake , in red velvet to taste it. Liek a birthday cake. I think they usually cost around $25 at most palces, but I don't know if red velvet is more.My cake coesm with my packge too sicen the Mileridge has its own bakery that's open to the public.
My brother seemed shocked that we were ordering a cake without tasiting it ( I don't think we get a tasting) so I am considering ordering a cake just to see if the how my combinatin works out.
I'll bring it to my parents house & the 5 of us will have it for dessert, like we would anyway.Another idea, my friend's mom had a sheet cake made up with the same cake & filling as her wedding cake for her shower.
