Cake tasting..when??

I was wondering when/how far in advance did you set up your cake tasting?
My cake is included within the price of the hall.
I was just wondering if i call Dortinis and set it up too early will they think its weird?
Also how will i know what is included or will they know?
im sure ill do some upgrades?

My family was visiting NY last month, and the next time they are here will be for the wedding. So we actually did our cake tasting a year out from our wedding since I wanted my family to be part of the process. It wasn't weird at all. We know what we are getting, we are just going to wait till 3 months out to tell the bakery and finalize our choice/ cake design.

It's normally 3-4 months before. I wanted to do mine early but we never made it =( we are going on sat.

we did it in april for our sept wedding. this is pretty much as early as they would let us do. we called them directly. black forest

So funny.. just got off the phone with them and they told me to come in November for my December wedding.. I told them I needed to come in sooner because November would be insane.. I'm going next Thursday.. had to pick out 6 fillings to try...

So funny.. just got off the phone with them and they told me to come in November for my December wedding.. I told them I needed to come in sooner because November would be insane.. I'm going next Thursday.. had to pick out 6 fillings to try...

Yep.. 6.. and I'm a diabetic so my FH will be on a major sugar high for the entire night LOL

We used a Sweet Peace and they gave us 12 different flavored cakes with 12 different icings!

They were all mini cupcakes. And whichever ones we ate, she replaced so we could take home and see what our families thought.
