I see in a blog a Swarovski Crystal Yankees Cake topper and I decided I needed it. If any of you ever come across something like this please think of me and let me know! Otherwise I will be making it myself and I'm not too crafty.
****So the person on Etsy who said she was going to do it was terrible. She got the shape right but that's about it. We agreed to dark blue crystals and royal blue crystals are on it. There is plastic hanging out on the sides. Maybe I'm jumping the gun and I'll like it when I get it but from the last picture she sent me, HORRIBLE. I definitely could have done it better myself. Guess I'm going with not getting this cake topper because I'm not going to waste more money on someone not doing it right.
you could always put in a 'want ad?' or whatever it's called on etsy, and see who's willing to make it for what price...

Mara, a bunch of people responded that are willing to make it. I looked at their other items on Etsy and I picked the one lady who's work I liked best. She's charging me 40 dollars with 4 dollar shipping. Let me know if you want me to talk to her or if you want her info. Or if you want to wait and see how it's going with mine. You could also make your own post and check out the contenders. lol

Apparently she doesn't have to give me my money back because it wasn't written in the agreement. However she is going back on basically everything it does say in the agreement. I'm going to wait and see what it looks like. Maybe it will look great but I'm not holding my breath.

Well originally she said Swarovski crystals in the agreement that would be a dark navy blue.
Then she says she won't be able to do that because it would be too much and offered glitter or sequins. I said no and asked if she could still use crystals and maybe she could get ones that weren't Swarovski cheaper. She said okay. Then she sends me the picture with it half done in royal blue crystals. I said that wasn't the color and she said they only come in light or royal blue. I have found many cheap varieties of navy blue crystals on the internet.
Am I wrong? My wedding color is navy, not royal blue. I told her I was unhappy with the color and the weird plastic stinking out and she made it seem like I was nuts. Here is the picture. If you look close you will see the plastic.
