California!!!!!!!

So fh keeps telling me that he wants to go to California.,...we never been there!so we really want to go..does anyone know any good places to go?????
vacation rentals or anything like that!????

IM TRYING TO FIND THE BEST DEALS SO IF ANYONE KNOW HOTELS THERE ..LET ME KNOW!

Not sure of hotels (since when i'm out there I stay with family) but def. go to Southern Cal!!! OMG talk about gorgeous. The beaches, the homes etc ughh to die for!
Then you can head up further north and stop in Beverly Hills, LA, Huntington Beach (i lived there for a few months) such awesome places to see

They also have your theme parks and places you should def look into also. Like the San Diego Zoo, seaworld, Knotts Berry Farm, Univeral Studios, Disney Land etc..oh and Legoland lol

I don't know but . . .
can I come too??

we flew into LA and rented a car to drop off in seattle before the flight home. Once you've done the sunset strip scene, the best parts of LA are malibu and santa monica. the promenade and the pier in santa monica are really cool spots, and def hit zuma beach in malibu.

we drove up route 1--coastal, cliffside, and breathtaking--to big sur, which is an undeveloped area about 2/3 of the way up to san francisco. we camped at ventana (grounds) for 2 days and did some hiking at julia-phieffer burns state park (waterfalls and trails that look like the shire)

next stop was san francisco. we spent a night hanging out in the mission (the spanish neighborhood) where we had incredible mexican food and got drunk on cheap coronas and shots of patron. we did the tourist sights: the sea lions @ fisherman's wharf & the walk over the golden gate bridge. we also went to north beach, haight-ashbury, and chinatown. i can recommend specific restaurants in san fran--just FM me.

next stop: napa! this is where we got engaged in a hot air balloon @ sunrise. napa is so beautiful, and the whole winery experience was really wonderful. we stayed @ the marriott for cheap through hotwire.com ($100 for a $300/night room).

Our last stop in california was the redwood forest, where we were supposed to camp but opted for a motel 6 because of the damp 50 degree weather. It was so beautiful! everything was carpeted in wildflowers with trees and boulders of prehistoric size all around.

after that we went to portland, seattle, and vancouver. they were equally amazing, so i can tell you more if you decide you're interested.

good luck, and i def recommend the frommer's california travel book. we would have been lost without it.
