Callas lilies

Hi girls,

Any idea how much a centerpiece like this costs? Is it true that callas are around $12 per stem? TIA!

wholesale cost on long stem callas can be as low as $2 a stem if the florist gets them from south america. however callas from south america tend to take on a really tight shape like a funnel and dont open up like the callas below.
those tend to be from holland and are more expensive to the florist. as for $12 a stem.. that's probably the cost they push down to you with markup. to be honest its not absurd considering the highest quality callas can go up to $7 or $8 a stem and most florists have high overhead costs.
so i wouldnt say $12 would be getting ripped off, however many florists that have good relationships with their wholesalers should be able to pass this savings onto you considering those images below show 12 stems per arrangement so they would be buying in bulk to make centerpieces for more than 10 or so tables...
and thats my diatribe for the evening

Our CP that we priced around at 11 different florists gave us pricing between $75-$185 per CP. The pic below is almost exact to what we requested.... we're getting them for $75 a piece, but my dad is good friends with the florist... FM me for their info....i'm not sure what they would normally charge....

I received a quote from Flowers by Brain for Calla Lily centerpieces (similiar to those) maybe a little more detail for about 125 a table!!!! Just giving a rough estimate as to what we were told.

I know calla lillies can also get really expensive because they are primarily a winter flower. My mom worked at a florist and for my prom she made me a mini calla corsage and she said she had to pay full price for them because she was getting them in May, even with an awesome relationship with the wholesaler. Don't worry though, I'm sure you'll be able to get the centerpiece you want at a reasonable price. It's gorgeous by the way!!

Definitely check out Designs by Rose & Flowers by Emil. I recently attended a wedding, where Designs by Rose made the ALMOST the exact CP's with approximately 9/10 stalks, and I believe it was a little under $70 each. When I planned my wedding, I believe Flowers by Emil was close to $60.
