Called for Dress-- it's IN - but they don't start fitting..

until two months before -- is that normal?

Should I make an appointment now????

I would ask to come see it and make sure ti was ordered correctly

Definitely go see it, make sure it is the right color, style, etc. Try it on, too, if you can. I think I did when I got mine, just to make sure it either fits or is a little big. If it is too small, you will also know if you need to lose weight or get a new one.

Absolutely agree. Have fun!! I also used this appointment as my 'everyone come view' - My MIL, my grandma, my sis, and my mom. That way, these special people got a sneak preview, and I got to do my fittings in peace without too many opinions.

yea, make sure the right one is there.

luckily, mine is just a little long so i got a bogger heel ... i'm not sure about the timeline for alterations

When mine came in, I went in to try it on to make sure everything was OK. My first fitting is 2 months before the wedding.

go make sure it's the right dress and there is nothing wrong with your dress...then wait until the 2 months so you won't have to worry about weight change....

Yes it is normal . . . my first fitting is on June 2nd and the wedding is July 10 . . . I put it off due to dieting . . . but I think on the average people start going for fittings around 2 months before.

My dress came in last weekend and my first fitting is scheduled for June 1st. They would have made it for this week if I wanted but I still need to get shoes and stuff so, I opted to wait.

Yes that is normal. Don't want to start having it fitted until closer to the wedding date otherwise your weight may fluctuate a little and they would have to keep altering the dress. But I would go in and try it on and make sure it is the dress you ordered, color, style, etc...

I had my first fitting yesterday (a little over 3 months until our wedding). She only did the hem (b/c obviously that isn't going to change), b/c I can't go back until 1 month before w/ the bar exam. I would definately AT LEAST make an appointment to go see it.

Mine came in 4 months ago maybe longer, and my wedding is in November.
I went to try it on to make sure everything was OK. The 1st fitting should be 2 months before the wedding.
