When the phone rings in your home and you notice it is for DH/FH do YOU answer it or tell him it is for him and let him answer it.
I am known for doing the latter. Yes, I could answer it and engage in polite friendly banter, but sometimes I cannot be bothered.
What do you guys do?

Re: Caller ID Question.....
Either way.
When our cordless is in the cradle it answers when you pick it up so who ever is closer answers the phone.
If it's laying on the table we'll usually hand off the phone to the person being called.
Ironically, last we had a call from DH's best friends house and I handed him the phone but it was actually his wife calling me

Re: Caller ID Question.....
It depends what kind of mood I am in. But I NEVER answer any calls that are restricted! And ha! they never leave messgae either. Do not call me unless you dial *82 first!

Re: Caller ID Question.....
I had caller id off my phone and now I put it back on becasue I ran into the problem of picking up the phone and having to engage is ridiculous small talk. So I am with you and if it is for him then HE gets it, but he will get the phone for me.

Re: Caller ID Question.....
I'm bad! I do the same thing. MOst of the time if it's his mom I let him answer, utherwise she will bend my ear for hours. If it's his friends most of the time I answer, sometimes I just let him get it and tell him it's for him.

Re: Caller ID Question.....
Whenever it says 'Private Name', 99% of the time it's his parents - so I always just hand it to him and tell him it's his parents!

Re: Caller ID Question.....
DH doesn't use a land line and we usually pick up our own calls unless the other person is busy (like in a toilet or something)
