Calligraphy

Calligraphy

I am considering using calligraphylady.com for my envelopes. I was wondering if anyone had any feedback? Also, I was thinking of maybe having the placecards printed with a computer calligraper in lieu of the hand calligraphy to save $. Does anyone have any recommendations for that? The placecards I found are in a shape of a cake. Do you think they would be able to print on them on the computer?
Thanks for any help.

Re: Calligraphy

I did my envelopes on the computer. I matched the font that my invites were done in. Once I got the hang of it (I only ruined about 10 envelopes) it was easy. It saved me some $$$$ and everyone thought they were professional!

I used this woman in Plainview who was really great. She charged $1.15 per envelope for computer printing, which really came out terrific ... She matches the font to your invite ... hand calligraphy is very costly & mistakes can happen more.

Her name is Karen Garber ... # 516.681.2939

I found someone who charged less, but I wasn't confident about her printer ... A heavier envelope would be difficult. The woman at 'Have you Heard?' where I got my invites wanted $1.75 per.

give her a call when you're ready. It takes less than a week for your envelopes ... and she'll definitely take care of your table cards. I had a conversation w/her about the same thing.

Good luck!
