Wow! $1 a set sounds reasonable. Can I get their contact info.
The calligrapher my printer recommended charges:
Outside envelope - $10.00 setup & $1.75 each envelope. . . . . . . . Inside envelope - $5.00 setup & $0.75 each envelope. . . . . . . . . . Placecards - $10.00 setup & $1.25 each placecard (2 sided printing) . . Turnaround is quick and shipping is based on the cost of postage and method you choose for delivery.
I guess that is sort of a rip off?!

It's not so much of a ripoff if it's hand done, but for machines, I think it's a lot.
You can try the people on my Budget Vendor webpage. I have 4, and all of them have great reviews. They start at .50 a SET (that's inner and outer) to $1.50 a set.
There are also very good people in the 3.00 and up range, like bloomingquill.com, calligraphylady.com and others.
