I'm going to that Expo too. I will prob have a DJ by then but I'd like to see the florists and possible photogs even though I've got reccomendations for other ones.

Bridal show is definitely worth it! I go to every one and once you book there you get two free admissions everytime! And you get the try ALL the food!

New to the board as well. Got engaged Memorial Day weekend and we have just booked our hall, Land's End in Sayville for October 5, 2007. Seems so far away, but I know it will go quick. We're waiting to book our church. They don't have their schedule available. Is this very common? How far in advance do churches usually have their schedules?

How did you approach the church to not seem pushy to book the date without the schedule being available?

I already verified that there's no Catholic holidays October 5, 2007 when we have the date for our hall.

By the way, we looked at Crescent Beach Club too! Great place.

Hi girls, my name is Stephanie, FI's name is Cal and we have been together 4 years. We got engaged last year on our 3 yr anniversary (6-23-04). We were supposed to get married on our 5 yr anniversary, 6-23-06, but unfortunately his mom has had a recurrence of cancer, so we are postponing until June of 2007. =(

Thank God for the '07 board, b/c now I don't feel so bad knowing there are others out there for 2007! =)

well we just joked to the priest about how far in 07 our wedding was....but that was back in aug/sep 04 when we just got engaged....so that was like3 yrs away....if you tell them 07 now...they should accomodate you..
