I'm the old fart....I am 40 & will be 41 when I get married!
Sept: I have most of the big stuff done except, dresses, honeymoon and have to finalize the limos with a friend. Invites are all created just have to send $$ by March 1st & will have them by May 1st all addressed.

Oh no Jodi, I'm fartier than you. I'm 44, will be 45 when I get married, which is exactly nine months from today (9/27)!!! My reception starts at 5:00, and today my FI picked me up from work at 5:00 and we had the best ride home talking about what we would be doing exactly nine months from right now.

How cute roxalita! But don't feel too old, my mom get re-married last year and she was 43 and we had such a blast at her wedding.

I don't feel old. My fi and I actually dated when we were in our 20s, but it wasn't serious and the time wasn't right. Then all these years later our paths crossed again and here we are! My fi is 40 and neither of us has ever been married. Our families are so excited because at this point no one thought either of us would get married. You never know what life holds!

hi ladies!!! I am so excited. M bms and I did our dress shopping today and found the bm dress!!!! Ya! Bill Levkoff style 882, different top separates in Black Lamour Satin. I am so stoked!!! I am also juiced that we made it to page 18!!!!

Thanks! It was NIGHTMARE today and I am so happy I only have to do that ordeal once. I learned not to solicit too much opinion!!! My color was changed and the dresses I wanted, but we compromised so I am fine with black. I was chugging aspirin the whole day!!!

I didn't really gives my girls a choice. I fell in love with their dress and I said ' Hope you all like it', luckily they did.

Okay I have a problem, ladies.... Please help me. Are black bm dresses really not good? My mother heard I picked out balck and flipped out. She said we should go with ruby red color I had originally picked.... My centerpieces and chuppah have bright Jewel colors and consist of all red, pale yellow, purple, burgundy, and fushia, dark green, and light green. What would you dress the girls in? Also, please don't just tell me black looks great and it will be great.... be so honest with me, please. Would you do black? Thank you, Sept brides... I love you guys!!!

In all honesty I wouldn't do it BUT I do think it looks great. You saw the pics I posted, Jpsgirl, Tammyjill and Sonicstefs's BM's were all in black and it DID look very elegant. I think it works if you are having an evening affair not a 2pm reception if you know what I mean. If you pair black dresses w/ the right flowers it could look amazing!!!!!

I love the black BM dress look. Everyone looks best in Black! I was even thinking about doing the black and white wedding party myself! You have so many colors in your flowers...at least that gives you a lot of colors to play with if you have to go that route.
