Oh I forgot, my church is in Brooklyn too.

I'm so glad someone started a Brooklyn post! I need help to find a local vendor (I'm from Sheepshead Bay/Gerritsen Beach area) I bought my dress at Davids Bridal and its such a hassle to get back there - does anyone know of a good tailor to get my alterations and bustle done? I'll go anywhere in Brooklyn! Thanks so much guys

I'm from Brooklyn too! The only vendors in Brooklyn I used were:

DJ - Classie Sounds (they were so good one of my guests hired them on the spot for another function)
BM gowns - Valentina's
my tiara - Bridal Styles

Hi All -

I'm living and getting married in Park Slope. My reception site, caterer (On Occasion), and flowers (Flowers by Emil) are all in Brooklyn. Most of my other vendors are from Manhattan.

It is a beautiful church. I think I told you but in case I didn't, my uncle redid the whole altar for the church a couple of years ago.

The good thing is that she has not have a car but she hates it anyway because people try parking in her driveway. My DH is going to hate it too when it comes this year.

I grew up in Canarsie, my 1st apt was in Bensonhurst (63rd and 18th Ave), and now I live in Bay Ridge. All of my vendors are from LI, and yes, it was a pain in the butt to trek out there, but SO WORTH IT!

Isn't it just the worst? There's nothing around there worthwhile...oh, except Di Fara! Do you girls know DiFara? Best PIZZA IN THE WORLD! No lie!

OMG! DiFara! I just wish they were bigger, and more advanced. I go there for two slices, and it takes eight days...LOL...well worth it!

I'll wait as long as it takes...Dominic is too cute! And the 'square' pies are to die for! YUMM!! Damn Atkins!

I'm going to Monica's Bridal this weekend on sheepshead road to get my alterations done. I didn't get my dress there but they said they can do it. I know the prices next week
