CALLING ALL HELP.....20-25 guest reception/cocktail party location
I am looking for ideas for a private room or lounge on Long island that is classy and elligant to celebrate a wedding. There would be only 20-25 guests, so nothing formal with DJs and stuff, but not in the middle of a restaurant with the public. trying to keep between $50-$100pp Thank you so very much for the ideas!!!!

Look at the Gatsby, they have really nice rooms that cater upstairs of their restaurant.

You could check out the lounge at the Garden City Hotel too. I forget the name of it but it should be on their website.

if you like the north shore you can also check out Danford's in Port Jefferson.

I heard the Jones Beach Hotel is nice, I have never been there but I heard its cute... you should check it out!

port jeff is a little far for us. I had not idea there was a jones beach hotel? I will check them out...please keep them coming. Maybe a favorite romantic restaurant even?

What area are you interested in? There are a bunch of locations on the south shore in Nassau and Suffolk.

George washington manor in Roslyn. Very pretty!
Private rooms/banquet rooms from 15-150 people.
Several rooms to choose from.
$27.50-$35 (1hour CH and 3 hour reception) and $45-$62 (1hour CH 4 hour reception includes alcohol).
I would suggest the Paul Revere room (25 people min.).

The Metropolitan in Glen Cove will do a wedding for 25, as will the George Washington Manor in Roslyn. The Coral House in Baldwin will also, but FM me about them if you are interested. The Woodlands in Woodbury says their minimum os 30, but I am sure you can arrange something for 20 - 25.
In Suffolk, the Three Village Inn in StonyBrook will do a small wedding, as will La Grange Inn in West Islip, and Captain Bill's in BayShore. The Watermill in Smithtown also says that they will cater a small wedding.

I believe the Gatsby is in East Islip.
There is also another place on Carleton Avenue in Islip that is really nice... the IRISH COFFEE PUB .
