Calling all John Anthony / Venetian Yacht Club Brides
I just got back from an event at John Anthonys & wanted to post a 'mini' review about it for all brides who are getting married there & with the new owners & all.
There is a huge Babylon fishing tournament this weekend & the pier is filled with all of these gorgeous, half-million dollor boats![]()
So to kick off the weekend tournament, a captains meeting is held, followed by dinner at John Anthonys.
The food was delicious! Everything from pasta salad to all of these wonderful seafood dishes. It was buffet style but excellent! The service was prompt & white-glove. It was held in the downstairs room. It was very casual, so no decorations - just the plain room. Despite that, the view is TO DIE FOR! You got to see it during sunlight & when the sun set. What a beautiful view at night even - with all the lights on the horizon. Just imagine what that room would look like with flowers & all decorated for a wedding.
The bathrooms were clean & marble with a woman helping out. They even provided their own bathroom baskets!
It doesn't look like they have 'renovated' much as of yet. They do have round tables in the downstairs room instead of the old oval ones. The carpets, draperies, & bars still look like the old ones but they are nice still. The sign still says John Anthonys & it was referred to as JA not VYC through out the captain's dinner. Hope this helps! It was def great & I would highly recommend them!
