Trying to wrap up our hotel block and need to sign the contract. Can someone confirm if the below means that in the case that our rooms are not all booked by April 1st - that we are NOT responsible for paying for them?

Kras/Derv Wedding acknowledges that if it cancels the entire room (45) days prior block after the cut off date or otherwise essentially abandons its planned use of the Room Night Commitment after April 1, 2011 (a “Cancellation”), this action would constitute a breach of Kras/Derv Wedding obligation to Hotel and Hotel would be harmed. Kras/Derv Wedding will be responsible for a cancellation fee of 50% of the Daily Room Night Commitment. Kras/Derv Wedding therefore agrees to pay Hotel, within thirty (30) days after any Cancellation, as liquidated damages and not as a penalty.
