Who are some good wedding dress designers that kinda get it for plus sizes. What type of silhouettes did u go for???

the alfred angelo's were more true to size. i normally wear an 18 or a 20 and i'm over 6 feet all and they ended up ordering me a 20w, anticipating minor alterations (because it always needs something!) the upside of his too, they don't charge extra for a larger size like some other designers and they're great dresses without a huge price tag

I would just tell then your street size or ask them to measure. When I was a bridesmaid the same thing happened to me. I wear a 24 and I got ordered a 28. Some designers for plus size run smaller.

I just got mine this weekend... It's Da Vinci and an Empire waste with the laced up back.
I mus say, I wasn't looking for the back to be laced up, but when my consultant suggested it and I tried it on - I was thrilled - It really showed off and defined the curves in a great way!

I got my dress from David's Bridal and I had no problem at all! I tried on several dresses and ordered mine the second time I went. They told me it would take 8-12 weeks to come in and it was in the store 4 weeks later. However, I did not have it altered at David's Bridal because that is where I heard some horror stories. It's def worth a shot and the new store in massapequa is sooo nice!

I got mine from Helen's bridal in commack. My dress is a Maggie Sottero and she is known for her corset backs. There are less alterations because u just have to pull it tighter if u lose weight. The sample was a 16 and i order my dress in an 18. I worked with Liz and she is the best. They are actually having a trunk show this weekend and I am fighting the urge to go back and try more on since I bought my dress the first day i looked.
