Calling all Plus Size brides. HELP

Where did you go to try on dresses? Did they have a decent selection in big sizes that you could try to get an idea as to how it looks?

I went to David's Bridal, Lillette's in Baldwin, and a few places near Bay Shore, and most of them had a nice selection of plus size dresses to try on. It wasn't as bad as I thought. But I still don't have a gown. haha

I went to Valentina's in Brooklyn. They were so wonderful to work with.

I went to Commack wedding center. Alot of bad reviews on here but at least its a place where you can go try on lots of nice dresses that will actually zip up!

Bridal Suite in Patchogue.. Has tons of sample dresses in plus sizes.. There is another bridal store a few stores away that has some samples in plus sizes.. so you can get 2 for one..

I went to Macy's Bridal, and most of their dresses fit, I am a 16-18 and the woman helping told me that most of their dresses to try on are large sizes so that everyone will be able to see what the dresses look like on.

I went to Davids, Macys in Manhasset, and RK Bridal in the city. Davids Bridal and RK Bridal have a great selection! Macys did not have a good selection. I ended up getting my dress from RK. Its a Paloma Blanca. Very beautiful. Definately try RK Bridal- its worth the trip!

I went to David's Bridal - huge selection, and also the Bridal Suit in Bay Shore had a lot to choose from and also Angel Bridal in East Islip had not as much but a nice range of dresses. I am getting my dress off of ebay - it's a copy of one I loved at David's, but half the price and 100% better looking!!!!

I know Emmy has a line of bridal gowns, but don't know who is carrying them. Maybe do a search to see if any bridal salons are carrying them. David's a good selection.
