Calling all recent hawaii honeymooners

How were your honeymoons girls??

I have to thank everone who gave us advice on where to go, what to do and where to eat! We traveled with our list and checked places off the entire time.

The sushi at Sansea on Maui was the best we had ever had!! My 'Husband' ( i love saying that) thought the bill would have been sky high so he stopped ordering! LOL Sooooo yummy!!

We did the zip & dip at the Princeville Rance on Kauai and had such a blast!! Im a total sissy but I loved every minute of it.

Re: Calling all recent hawaii honeymooners

We just got back this week too!!!! we went to Oahu & Maui.......we only went to Oahu for Pearl Harbor and if we had to do it again, we'd prob. just stay at Maui and do a day tour at Pearl Harbor.

I felt dizzy just looking at all the things we could possibly do there!! We actually did less than we wanted to, but I guess b/c we didn't want to exhaust ourselves on the HM!

In Maui we ate at Leilani's almost every day! YUM! it was right on the water by our hotel, we loved it. Also ate at the Hula Grill, Mama's Fish House (can't beat the view there!!), Cool Cat Cafe, Kimo's and the Rusty Harpoon.

We went to the Drums of the Pacific Luau at the Hyatt and the Old Lahaina Luau. Personally DH & I both liked the food MUCH better at the Hyatt Luau, not that it was bad at Old Lahaina, but it was just sooooooo good at the Hyatt!! And their Luau has a fire show, so it was pretty awesome! But I have to say I think the hula dancing at Old Lahaina seemed more precise and they gave good narrative background on each one.

We also did a dune buggy off road thing right off Kaanapali Beach- it was so much fun, but I was absolutely FILTHY afterwards!!

I seriously wish we could've stayed another week!!

We were there back in May on our HM. Stayed at Grand Hyatt in Kuai and Maui. LOVED the Hyatt in Kuai... The hotel is Beautiful!!!

We had so much fun on the Napoli snorkeling trip and in Maui we did the BIking Down the Volcano tour. Got up at 2AM and froze at the top of the volcano, but it was sooo worth it.

DId anyone eat at the Beach House in Kaui? The Old Lahanni Lua was pretty cool. Roys was yummy... a few places on the water, but I forgot the name. Oh, and the restaurant in the Hyatt in Maui for dinner was excellent!

Re: Calling all recent hawaii honeymooners

We bypassed Roy's one night and went to Plantation Gardens on Kauai instead. The atmosphere was great & the food was delicious!!

I wish we didnt hit Sansea so late in the trip because we definalty would have gone back again.

We liked maui alot more than Kauai in terms of the resturants to choose from and the liveliness of the island. Kauai was definalty pretty but we got bored and finding places to eat breakfast there was a pain in my married tush!
Sunrise Cafe in Kanapali was sooooo good! It looked like a little hole in the wall but breakfast there was kick a**

I never made it to a Lapperts Ice cream though Did anyone go there? We passed a bunch but it was always so early in the day that I wasnt in the mood!

yes we did!!! on our last day in Maui we were walking around in Lahaina and we went to Lapperts and I got Kuaui Pie------ OMG sooooooo good!! it was coffee ice cream with fudge, coconut & macadamia nut (of course!! lol). delicious!! I wish I would've stopped there earlier in the trip, I would've visited more than once, but maybe that's a good thing!!

Did you have the 'hula pie' for dessert anywhere? I had it at Leilani's b/c I kept hearing how good it was.....it was really just vanilla ice cream w/ oreo's on the bottom, I was hoping it would be something more unique that I couldn't get at home. oh well!

ok my food suggestions are listed in my previous post above......but if you are interested in doing the ATV tour by the crater in Maui, then don't do what we did (drive all the way there and THEN find out they were sold out for the day!!)....call ahead!! it's an hour & a half from where we stayed (Kaanapali). But also don't overbook yourself w/ activities.....Hawaii is such a beautiful, relaxing place you dont need to do a million things, just relax & enjoy yourselves!

In Maui we went to Roy's late one night - just to get the chocolate souffle that a co-worker told me about

Most of the time we ate on Front St

That chocolate souffle is TO DIE FOR.

There's a Roy's in the city, downtown in the Financial District. I've been meaning to go but don't want to be disappointed
