FH and I are giving little sailboat chrismas ornaments as our favors, but we are also doing a donation. We are writing the donation on a scroll in putting it in a bottle with sand. (Like a messagein a bottle) The boat will be attached. My only problem is I don't know how to word the donation card. What do you think. any suggestions. TIA

ive been to plenty of weddings like that. well if someone close to has died from somthing that and thats why your going to donate to the charaty. for ex. the wedding my mom went to the saying went like this in memory of my mom elizabeth ann taylor we will be making a donation to the brest cancer awareness found in her memory. or somthing to that effect. hope i gave u a little idea.

Maybe something like 'Daisybride and Groom have made a donation to Charity ABC in honor of their marriage.' You could also add a line as a thank-you to your guests for being part of your day.

i like what julz suggested. i would avoid writing 'in lieu of favors' ................ IMO, (not sure why) i don't think it is appropriate.
