Calling anyone who recently visited PJCC. Please Help

we went there last night to give our final payment and they asked us if we would like to have our ceremony (next week!) either on the deck or the garden area below the deck. we were unaware the deck was even an option! any thoughts? i think we are leaning towards the garden but it will be tight and they have to make a makeshift entry for our 2 grandmothers (don't ask- they forgot to calculate in that anyone needing an elevator has to walk over garden rocks to get to the ceremony-note:they are looking into paving a walkway i just don't know if it will be done in time) but on the other hand the deck will look right over into the tennis courts below the bride and groom. and people may be playing tennis!

please help

does the deck overlook the water? haven't seen the location, but i would opt for the deck.

actually both overlook the water. so basically one side of the 'garden' is on the edge of the property and they cleared it out to overlook the water. some of the guests in the back may not see it since they planted some bushes towards the back.

hmmm. in that case i would opt for the location w/ the most seating capacity and ease for the older people.

My cousin got married there years ago (before the new renovations) and the ceremony was on the deck...and there were people playing tennis! But...it didn't take away from the ceremony...it was still beautiful. It's a country club...there will be other people there....don't sweat it. Good luck!

I agree...go with the most seating. People will remember that they couldn't see the ceremony more than they will that people were playing tennis down below.

I think you should go for the deck too. It seems really beautiful up there....airy and spacious. It could be a warm day and you do not want people to be on top of each other. It really is a great view from up there!

I have to agree, while i love garden weddings it may be easier for the guests to have the deck. If you really want the garden ten see how much they can accomodate you!

They also told us that they are thinking (tentatively) that if there are no events planned in the upstairs room on the same day of setting up the upstairs deck for ceremonies. That looked very spatious, beautiful view. The 'aisle' would be set up walking towards water.

Anyway, I don't think you can go wrong with your two current options. both will be beautiful!!!

I am very much looking forward to hearing all about your day at PJCC--we'll be there in a short 483 days

Good luck!!!!!

thank you for bringing up this point! there is a party going on in the upstairs room! i have to verify when they are leaving because if it's going on at the same time, that will make my decision easy- the garden it is!
