calling the church....

So....if you remember the other day i was seriously considering changing my date......well, FH and i decided that we were going to contact the church to see if there was anyway they can at least guarantee us a 10:30 ceremony time. (as opposed to 11am). this way we would have at least a little time to get to the RH before CH starts. (CH starts at 12:30...and the church is 35 minutes away!)....(we are going to take pictures before the ceremony) if the church cannot guarantee us starting at at least 10:30....then we will just keep our date. (ceremony would be at 11am...CH starts at 1:30). I just calculated it though and the cost difference would be like $6000!!!! which is a TON of $$ in my eyes. that is more than our photographer! of course....when we called the church yesterday it was too late and they were already closed....and then we called today and they are closed for the holiday! sooooo....we are just waiting now. wish me luck girls!!!

good luck..it will work out either way...you will save a ton of cash...but on the downside...you said you won't be able to go Italy in March

i know, it stinks....i mean, we could still go....but it would be kinda cold there still in march so prob wouldnt be worth it to go there for the honeymoon. we would prob just end up going there a year later instead

I tried to call my church today to change my date and I was bothered that they were closed.

I hope that you are telling them with enough time. I mean how booked can a church be? I am a bit worried I changed my RH and photog date with no problem today....so I am hoping three times a charm!!!!!

I am calling once I get up in the morning.

But with what you wrote what is $600 more...the later CH start time? That is crazy

is actually 6000 more...its the time of year, that is all. May is alot is more expensive, unfortuately! the CH starts later b/c it is light out later so they can do that. most RHs were like that. they start later in the warmer months. good luck with your church! i am sure it will be fine!
