Re: Calling unresponsive guests
I didnt care who was annoyed. Same thing happened to me because I was RUTHLESS. I was calling every single day after my date to get an answer. Just explain to them that its IMPOSSIBLE to set up a wedding without a response for Gods sake. Some people are so rude.

Re: Calling unresponsive guests
Sooooo not looking forward to this part!!! And I KNOW it's coming because we only sent our invites out 2 weeks ago and already the RSVPs are slowing down! I will never understand what is so hard about this... RSVPing is not a new concept!!

Re: Calling unresponsive guests
In the end, we just flat out never got some responses. And same thing, the ones we had to call to find out were annoyed. I didn't f*kin care at that point.
Best is one of my cousins, she's like a second of third cousin, she lives in DE and so we weren't expecting her to come, but at least tell us you know........well, we call her up 2 weeks after the RSVP was due and she told my mom she was 'still deciding'. Guess what? I decided for you, you're not coming.

Re: Calling unresponsive guests
Tht's ridiculous that they would feel bothered. You have an RSVP date for a reason. They're the rude ones for not responding in time.

Re: Calling unresponsive guests
that is insane how common this has become I understand certain circumstances but to get annoyed when a person calls to ask if you are coming or not after being late with your RSVP is nervy

Amen to that!!! My family and FH's fam are gonna be annoyed with me. I 'm gonna have the RSVP date at least 3-4 weeks before final headcount because I know people will just ASSUME I think they are coming. And when they ASSUMe they will be making an A** out of themselves because they won't be coming! And not only that I will confirm all the RSVP's that I do get to try to lessen the chances of no show's even though certain last minute issues may arise. As long as we perpetuate this nonsense it will continue.Someone needs to set an example!
Ladies do not feel bad. It is rude not to RSVP. It shows carelessness and this is just giving you unecessary greef!

They would be a no in my book! RSVP was invented for a reason.

Re: Calling unresponsive guests
A piece of advice from an 09er who learned from her 07er sister - Unless they are close family, just count them as a 'no' if they do not respond. My sister called people and, in the end, she paid for 10 yes people who never showed. If they show up they can fill a no show seat or you can have your hall add them (they will just charge you at that pint). A lot of these people will end up being the unreliable ones who are no-shows!

: How do you just not show up?!! I don't get it! Or better yet how do you say no and have the audacity to just show up?! Call me naive but is it just me or is that riiiidiculous!
