Calling Venues for Prices?

Calling Venues for Prices?

I've already looked at 7 venues, and one stands out and has offered the best price. I keep looking online and found 3-4 additional venues that look interesting, but I don't want to go out of my way booking tours if they can't beat the price at my top-rated venue so far.

Is it ok to call venues and ask for pricing and package details over the phone? Or do they still make you book an appointment to discuss that info?

Since I'm living in Connecticut I actually emailed a lot of places and almost every single one gave me prices. It doesn't hurt to ask or I even asked the ladies on here if they would give me the quotes they got so I had an idea of what I was getting into before taking a tour.

I emailed a lot of places and some gave me quotes via email and some insisted I come in for a tour. Which venues are you looking at? I may have quotes for them. They'd be for fall 2016 since that's what we were looking for, but it'd at lest give you an idea.

The quotes I received over the phone were always different when I went in.

I am looking into Smithtown Landing Country Club, Mansion at West Sayville (Lessings), and Wind Watch Golf & Country Club in Hauppauge. I am thinking a Friday night in Sept/Oct/Nov 2015 with about 175 people. Anyone have quotes for these places? Please FM if you do - thanks!

I don't have my specific quotes anymore but Mansion at West Sayville was around 75-80pp and Smithtown Landing was slightly more.
