I'm trying to do as much of my registry online and I'm having a few questions about cookware and knife sets.
What is the deal with Calphalon and anodized? Are they safe? Can you put them in the dishwasher? Both Target and BB&B carry calphalon brands, the one from Target is 'Kitchen Essentials' and much cheaper ... just wondering which is better?
Also, I've heard some ladies discuss knife sets and I'm wondering which people prefer the most?
I appreciate ANY info you guys have about these products, it would be a GREAT help to me.
THANKS!!!

Re: Calphalon? Anodized? Henckles vs. Shun? HELP!!!
I would not put any of my pots in the dishwasher no matter what they are.
I prefer Stainless All Clad. I have a few non-stick pieces as well.
I have Wustof and the Henkels 5 star set.
Non-stick surfaces are safe. Make sure you use plastic or wood utensils on them when cooking and a soft sponge when cleaning to keep the surface from scratching.
ETA: I had a Caphalon set and I didn't not like it.
