So FH called today (cause he's in charge of limos) and they told him that they already had bookings for that day and that they can only make appts during the day on Mon and wed and that it wouldnt be until after x-mas that they would be able to accomodate weekend appointments. FH stressed that we wouldnt be able to do it during the week. He said he spoke w/ a woman.
I found this a bit strange. I emailed the company to find out more info. Just curious whether you ladies have encountered anything similar?
Also, I'm getting married a little over 13 months- is it normal for limo bookings to actually be done this early in advance?

Re: Camelot- any of you using them?
We booked limos last month which was about 11 months before our wedding and I'm glad we didn't wait any longer cuz the limo we really wanted was booked but we managed with another one

UGHHHH!! I thought limos was literally one of those last things you book. Guess I was dead wrong. Were you able to get quotes over the phone?

Yes they usually cannot do meetings on the weekends because thats when most events are, we had to meet with tthem during the week, we also booked our limos over a year in advance and our day wasn't taken but a lot of other days were, you'll find a lot of brides have been on this site more than a year prior to their wedding, and a lot of booked stuff then too...thats weddings on LI for ya.
Email Joe - he's awesome to work with. You can read my review for more info

I'm booked with them and had to meet joe during the week. He explained that their cars are out on the weekends which to me a good sign. If all of the cars were sitting in the lot on the weekend I would wonder why.
I booked within the year but there is nothing wrong with booking extra early

Thanks Laura.

I booked with them way before my one year mark. (9.2009) We met with Joe on weekday later in the evening and spent like two hours there just talking. They are absolutely worth it though.

DEFINITELY go there. I got rough quotes on the phone, but when I got there and negotiated with Joe, it dropped almost $1000!
I booked with them two weeks ago for my November 2011 wedding and there was someone there for October 2012!
They have late nights on Tuesdays(?) I think. Just call and take the latest appointment they have if time is a problem for you. And wear comfortable shoes - their cars are parked like 3 long blocks from their office.

I was really bummed when FH told me that they had multiple booking for my date. I was shocked. I've heard such great things about Camelot. I just hope whatever they have left is decent.

That sounds good. I'm gonna tell FH to go w/o me. Or I'll call tomorrow and maybe I can schedule something for Thursday night. I rather talk to Joe and explain my situation- I have no idea what FH said. Maybe when a frantic bride calls, it'll be better. lol

Re: Camelot- any of you using them?
We booked w/ Camelot tonight actually. I thought we were ahead of schedule since we are getting married in 13 months, but the car I wanted was already out! So we ended up booking a different car which is fine. But I would def book as early as possible if you have your eye on something.
