I know that one lady on this site has extensivly camped with her little one- sorry I cannot remember your name!
we are goiung camping in the poconos, pa next week...at a campground with electrical hook up. we have a VE eurovan camper...equip w/ stove, refridge, sink, ac/heat, 2 full size beds, etc
was planning on bringing our pack n play although we have NOT used it once yet. Julianne is not sitting up unaided and I dont know how frustrated she may be in the playpen if she is on her back or side for a period of time...she gets frustrated on her belly- tries to crawl but doesnt get anywhere.
We are tent campers...so it will be a break to sleep/hanout in the van...
but I am not sure how long I will be able to camp, with no one to give us a break with the baby. (not that I dont absolutely adore her but it is a lot of work too!) any tips? I am also bringing her swing, it breaks down to nothing and she loves it at home and at other places we have brought it

Re: camping w/ baby tips?
Hi Phyl. You may be referring to me. Annalise has been camping cross country. We go locally too in out travel trailer to Smith Pt. in Suffolk. I am afraid I don't really have much advice. If J. can sit with the boppy supporting her, she may have fun in the pack n play. Bring lots of toys. Bring the stroller netting that protects from bugs. It fits over the top of the pack n play too. You will need lots of warm clothes at night since it gets cold. You may not want to reuse the outer layers on the baby each night if you have a campfire. They will have a strong fire smell. If she is sleeping in the playpen you can add extra cushion between the mattress and the sheet. We used a waterproof pad and towels. If you will do any hiking you may want to bring a carrier if you have one (Snugli, etc.) Have fun. They adjust so well at this age.

Re: camping w/ baby tips?
ok great! thanks- -for reminding about the boppy. hope that works for her in the pack n play...we have the one with the attached canopy (netting and sunscreen)...between that , the swing, and a blanket on the floor we hope that will do while we are at the campsite. will bring our baby bjorn..she is starting to love that thing... also plan on taking day trips to local animal preserve, flea mkt, etc.,..so we wont be at the campground the whole time...
