Can anyone help me with Maui?

Hey ladies,

If anyone has been or is going to Maui, can you tell me what hotel you booked? I am trying to book the honeymoon today through travelocity...there are many hotel choices but i have NO CLUE what is great and what to stay away from.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

www.tripadvisor.com should have all the answers to your questions. It gives detailed reviews from people who have been there...it rocks!

well, we ended up doing the big island and kauai, but we'll probably have a day trip to maui...

ANYWAY, I did do a lot of research and my opinion is that the Four Seasons was DEFINITELY the best hotel there, followed by the Ritz Carlton on Maui, which costs less and is really fabulous also.
A friend of mine stayed at the Hyatt and LOVED it!

We are staying at the Grand Wailea in Mauai - during our month there are less families and more couples! Plus we LOOOVE pools!!

Our second choice would be the Fairmount Kea Lani. Heard the rooms are bigger and are suites.

I've alread read great things about the Four Seasons.

My brother stayed at the Kea Lani and raved about it.

We're staying at the Fairmont Kea Lani. One of my friends stayed at the Hyatt in Maui and had all nice things to say about it. Maybe you can do a search on the brides review board and see if you can find any reviews. We also used tripadvisor.com to help with the decision.

We stayed at the Hyatt. We did Hyatts on all the islands we stayed at. I would RECOMMEND HYATTS. It was amazing. Jax430 also stayed at the Hyatt. We saw each other there. Here is the view from our room.

Have you checked with a travel agent? You might be able to get a better price. Also you can probably get better things thrown in. We used Liberty Travel in Levittown. You get a discount if you stay at all hyatts on all the different islands. And we got free breakfast on all the islands (I don't mean like a muffin and coffee I mean a good breakfast people were so mad when they saw us eating it and they wanted to buy it but the couldnt) Also the travel agent can put 'honeymoon couple' in the computer. We got a honeymoon envelope on all the islands with discounts. On Maui it was a coupon for a sunset sail 79.00 a couple. We went on the sail and other people there were like we paid 160.00.

ETA: We also got Champagne and chocolate covered Macadamia nuts On each island.

I had two friends stay there - one in September and one in October - for their honeymoons. I also had a cousin stay there in July.
I did much research and have heard this many a time.

Re: Can anyone help me with Maui?

Hi, we stayed at the Westin, which was great. We liked it better than the Hyatt, which is next to the Westin.

The nices hotel (for honeymoon) on Maui is the Kea Lani Hotel which is also the most expensive. It is a beatiful hotel, but it is not on Kanaapali Beach.
