If anyone has been or is going to Maui, can you tell me what hotel you booked? I am trying to book the honeymoon today through travelocity...there are many hotel choices but i have NO CLUE what is great and what to stay away from.
Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

Re: Can anyone help me with Maui?
We are styaing at the Four seasons and at the Princeville in Kauai, but we booked through a travel agent there was too much for me to book and Fiance is super picky. I heard that the Four Seasons is the place to go especially for the HM.

Re: Can anyone help me with Maui?
It depends what you're looking for in a hotel. If you want a mega-resort, the Hyatt is great (that's where we stayed). But we were actually looking for something quieter and more secluded. DH actually wanted to switch hotels and we went out looking at them all. If we would book again, we would have gone to the Ritz-Carlton - the price for a suite was the same as we were paying for a room at the Hyatt. And the suite was huge! It's only about five minutes from Kaanapali beach.
Figure out what you want in a hotel and that will help you narrow down the choices.

We are staying at the Grand Wailea in Mauai - during our month there are less families and more couples! Plus we LOOOVE pools!!
Our second choice would be the Fairmount Kea Lani. Heard the rooms are bigger and are suites.
I've alread read great things about the Four Seasons.
My brother stayed at the Kea Lani and raved about it.
We're staying at the Grand Wailea too. I wonder if we'll be there at the same time.
And I agree with you, since we're going in an off month, we were told by MANY people, that there won't be many kids there b/c of school, etc.
We love pools, and waterslides. How cool does the water elevator look?

Oh my gosh...I cannot wait!!!! We went to Cancun one year and we were in the pool all the time!!! We knew so many that stayed at GW - and then we saw it on the travel channel - so we were sold!!! However, if I was going during prime kiddie time I might not have - but I'm glad it works out!!! Are you going there your first or second week (or how are you doing hawaii?)

OMG, that is so funny that we may all be there at the same time. We didn't get the car through the hotel, we are getting a convertible or a jeep on all the islands we're going to.
We're doing a bit of island hopping, and Maui is our second stop (technically 3rd, but we'll only be in Oahu for one night to see Pearl Harbor) We'll be at the GW from Sat Oct 15th-Friday Oct 21st, then we head to The Big Island to finish our trip.
Where else are you ladies going?

FH and I went to Hawaii in August of 2003...we stayed at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel in Maui and we loved it!
It is a gorgeous place and stays very true to Hawaiian customs and traditions...they left delicious coconut cookies on our pillow every night!!!!
It is definitely worth checking out!

It looks like we'll be there at the same time. I dont' like small planes either so I was glad to find out all the interisland flights are on jets.
We're leaving for HI on the 10th also. Wouldn't it be funny if we were on the same flight. We're leaving around 8 am from JFK, on AA through Dallas.
