We used The Writing Place in Stony Brook. I found that they all use the same Birchcraft, Carlston Craft (etc) books it's just who you want to go through.

Favorite Things Invitations, Nesconset. (vendor on board) Rebecca was great to work with. I FM'ed her the invite I was thinking of. When I got there the book was open to my invite. She still spent almost 2 hours with me talking about font, color, wording, etc. I found the invites online and she was the same price. But I got so much service out of her that you don't get online. Plus I got to see the colors exactly, not on a computer screen.

I went through Shelly Silver at Platinum Event Management. We were planning on doing our own invitations for money reasons, but her prices were so reasonable- we just got them done. Her number is 516-298-5137.

Thank you all for your quick response. My mom and I went to 'Have You Heard' last night, and the invites were almost $1,000. I was very surprised that they were so expensive. I thought invites would be cheaper. They weren't really fancy, but they weren't totally plain either. What is the average cost of invitations? I want something elegant, but not so pricey.
