Can anyone recommend a good book on...

...breastfeeding??? Thanks! I'd really like to read up on it as much as I can before the baby comes!

A Nursing Mother's Companion by Kathleen Huggins...I would have been LOST w/o this book. I definitely think that it has enough detail to learn from, but not too overwhelming to be confused.

Here's the link to BUy.com for it - A Nursing Mother's Companion

I don't have a recommendation but I just want to say I think you are very smart to read up on it. I read alot in general when I was pg but I didn't read enough about breastfeeding and I ended up very confused with the contrasting info I was getting in the hospital after the baby was born. I ended up supplementing him with formula and that was the end of him wanting the breast. It happened so fast so it's really good to go in there with as much info as you can.

Read as much as you possibly can...I did..and it was still very frustrating when we were in the hospital... Julianne or I had latching problems and she would wind up very upset...and harder to feed.
I preservered and had ANYONE who had experience...while I was in the hospital...take a look and give advice.
Best advice was once the milk comes in 2-3 days later...it WILL Get easier.

Stick with it and surround yourself with people who support you!
