Re: Can anyone recommend a goog vacuum cleaner

We bought the Hoover Windteunnel self-propelled bagless ($299). We love it. It's a #1 from Consumer Reports, and they say it picks up 70% more dirt than the dyson. I really love it so far. It's just VERY heavy to lift, but you don't feel the weight at all when vacuuming b/c it's self propelled.

Re: Can anyone recommend a goog vacuum cleaner

I have both a Hoover Windtunnel and a Dyson Animal.

In my opinion, the Dyson wins hands down. We keep the Windtunnel in the basement now.

Re: Can anyone recommend a good vacuum cleaner

This has been very convenient when it comes to doing our carpeted stairs .. the best vacuum we've had when it comes to handling that task .. my only knock .. the dirt cup could be a bit bigger.

It's the Bissel Lift Off.

Re: Can anyone recommend a good vacuum cleaner

Oreck! It's the first vacuum that i don't hate using!

But don't tell my mom

Actually, when my mom asked what i wanted for my engagement gift i immediatly said an oreck... i had a slew of bad/cheap ones that just frustrated me...
