Can anyone recommend a seamstress?

The place I bought my wedding gown at won't touch my dress! I would like to add a dip to the neckline of my dress. They say out of respect for the designer, they are not allowed to touch the dress. Anyway, so I'm on the search for an excellent seamstress. Help is appreciated !! tia

Ingrid's in Setauket changed my dress for me. My seamstress is going to Florida for the winter but the other seamstress is excellent too and if you can wait until the spring since your wedding is in July, she's definitely worth the wait. And it's super reasonable too. She fixed my neckline, hemmed it and did the bustle for $280 and it's a heavy lace gown. And she did it within a month and 3 fittings.

OK, I live in Whitestone, Queens. I'm not sure how far Setauket is from me, it sound far from me..lol. But if she's that good maybe I'd be willing to try her. My dress comes in Aoril so I'm also nervous that I only have 2 months to change the neckline.

Lol, yeah that's pretty far actually. Stony Brook is about an hour from the Queens. But you could make a day of it and head out to the outlets the same day or visit some wineries or something like that. I think 2 months is plenty of time but maybe call them and ask how long they think it'll take. Maybe you can bring a picture and see what they can do.

Georgia's on Nassau Blvd in Garden City South. SHe took in a dress for me beautifully, and also was great for a friend I referred also.
