I read somewhere (i think maybe brides magazine) that its not recommended for laser hair removal at all on darker skin tones, since it could mees with and lighten the pigmentation.

You can see a dermatologist that does that. Island Dermatology (with locations in Long Beach, Lynbrook and Massapequa) do that. They don't really recommend it on darker skin because of the discoloration so you should do a consult.

My friend who is dark skinned had it done at our dermatologist's office in the city. Just so you know, there are two different kinds of lasers - one for light skin tones, and one for darker skin tones - so it CAN be done.
