Can anyone recommend good digital video cameras?

My FH and I are looking to buy a video camera as our wedding gift to each other. We're looking for something that has great picture quality with a good distance & sound range, and one where the batteries won't die fast (willing to sacrifice the LCD display in that respect). Not looking to spend more than $750... can anyone recommend anything?

We just bought one a few weeks ago. We did a lot of research & ended up with Nikon 4300. We went through bizrate(?) and ordered it from buy 'something'.com (sorry forgot & I'm at work). We also got the upgrade memory card, case, cleaner for an additional $40. It came out to $404. Do a search on Google for digital camera compare. We love the camera it is a 4 megapixel, very clear, pictures, solid camera. We're very happy with it.
