I have a friend who ive known since hs. We have been on and off, but never for a real reason. I didnt ask her to be in wedding since we had just gone back 'on' when we got engaged...
Well, she is def one f my good friends, and just seems to really be there for me when i need her.
My question is this.... can i ask her to be in the wedding this late in the game?
Now before you say yes...... ive already had the shower... so will there be any resentment for her not helping pay?
Is it too soon?

Re: can i?
i think that you asking her would be just fine.
who cares if she didnt help pay?? her job is to stand up there..for you..and support you.
it doesnt matter if she didnt help pay for the shower, and it doesnt matter if she wasnt very involved in the planning. What does matter is that she stands by your side while you get married and is supportive the rest of the way.

Re: can i?
honestly, i dont know if it would be a good idea at this point. can you possibly just ask her to do something else at the wedding...like a reading or something?

I think it's fine, and I don't think it matters if she helped pay. If you guys are that close and you want her up there with you, I say go for it!

If you think it's going to be a problem and cause drama with the other girls then I would just ask yourself if that is worth it... if it is going to be an issue then maybe she can do something else, a reading, if you're getting married at the church bring up the offerings (or whatever they are, I'm THAT religious)... If you think your wedding will continue on drama free then go for it.

its your wedding.. YOU call the shots. who cares if she didnt pay.. she also prob wasnt really there? or wasnt acknowledged as a BM. im sure your girls wont say anything. if they do, shame on them. cuz really... how much did they spend for ur shower? was it thousands?

Re: can i?
no way... i assume it was LOW 2 hundreds...
She was at the shower, has always been there... I mean Im torn.
it is MY choice and if i asked her from day one i wouldnt be thinking about anyone else's opinion, but i do feel bad....
i dont want her to be ostracized and i dont want them to be resentful.....
there is no readings... so its really she is in wedding, or not,

Re: can i?
I would have a conversation with the girls in the bridal party and with the friend that you would like to include. The friend that you would like to include may feel uncomfortable becuase it is late or she may be really excited...it could go either way. As for the girls in your bp if they are your friends they will support your decision, in the end it is your day.

Re: can i?
I just have one question........what about the dresses??? What kind of dresses are you having the girls wear? If you had to order them, I'm assuming you did it at the same time so the dresses were all dyed in the same batch. Will she have to order a different dress from a different batch that possibly doesn't look the same?
I would talk to all the girls in your bp about it. Maybe have them over for dinner (or take them out) and get their opinions on having an extra bm. I'm sure they will do whatever you want them to do. It's your day!

I would ask her...as long as you can order her dress on time!! Its your wedding and if you want her there, she should be there!
