Can I do anything to speed up the shedding process
Our rottie is shedding is so much! More than our other pooch who has long hair. Despite my vacuuming, my tile floors look like a shag rug. I brush her a lot, to try to speed up the whole deal. Any other suggestions?

I feel your pain - my lab is shedding uncontrollably. I have yellow tumbleweeds throughout my house.
For me the brushing doesn't work either!!! I think we're going to have to wait this one out.
If I come up with anything I'll let you know.

Chewies shedding is out of control also. I am covered in hair!

You can get a shedding comb from Target for about $5 and it works great on my dog's coat. In one brushing, it takes out ALOT of dead hair. Here is a picture of it except the one in Target has a blue handle.

Add a tsp. of olive oil to their dinner (you can also use expensive doggie oil called linatone but not necessary) It makes the skin not so dry especially during winter and I think it helps with shedding. When I showed dogs we use to do this to maintain good coat. You don't want a judge to go over your dog and come up with a hairball! Although no outfit is complete without a little pet hair!
