I want to do the votive placecards. I saw BriBri529's votive placecards when she posted them and loved them.
Well, this is my idea, can I use clear labels instead of the paper? I won 72 frosted votive holders from ebay (they have been shipped to my house) and bought tealights.
I am not crafty (heck, my FI is making the rose cones because I got so frustrated with them, but he is doing a really good job).
Anyway, I could set the clear labels up in the printer, type the names and tables, print and stick.
What do you all think? BriBri529, what do you think?

You'd have to try it..the clear labels might be hard to read!

I would test one and light it for a few hours...just to make sure the heat from the candle doesnt effect the glue on the label. Good luck!

Re: Can I do this instead?
what are the votive placecard holders...is there a pic?
Thank you for the compliment. I first have to say that you should try it out and see. Having said that, here are the problems you MAY run into . . .
1) Clear labels don't absorb the ink, so it may not fully print, or may scratch off easily afterward.
2) The clear labels may leave air bubbles when you apply them.
3) because the votive candles all have various curves, you have to apply the vellum accordingly and trim it accordingly. Using a sticky label may make this more difficult than using the vellum itself.
I think it is definitely worth trying, since it would be WAY simpler- please let me know what you decide to do and how it comes out!!!!
