Can I do this?? Rude??

Okay, so I called the salon where myself and all my bridesmaids are getting their hair done on the day of the wedding and found out that the cost is MUCH higher than what I had thought. In the end, it is about $100/person and I have 11 bridesmaids plus myself. Since we are paying for them to get their hair done, is ok for us to ask them to tip their stylist? Is that rude?

What do you think??

Wow. I'd tell them that they have to pay half because of that kind of price. Where are you getting yours done?

You are a saint of sorts!! I wish I can afford to have their hair and makeup done at my expense- but unfortunately I can't

I would tell them that you are paying for the hair feel but it will be up to them to tip the hairstylist... that's nothing compared to what you're paying for all of them.

Since you are covering the cost for them to get their hair done and it's pricey, I think it's absolutely ok if you ask them to pay the tip. Not rude at all. JMO

thank you so much for asking this ?.. i too am paying for my girls to get their hair done the day of.. i only have 4 girls (thank god) but its more $ then i expected and wanted to ask them to just tip the girl!

Not rude. if it was me, I would actually expect to pay the type. I wish someone was covering my hair.

It seems fine, I'd say just make sure you let them know in advance so they bring $$.....they may not bring if they don't realize!

Do they have to get their hair done? Some may prefer to do their own hair, which would save you and them money. Just an idea.

I don't think that it's rude, but you might want to give them a guideline of how much they should bring for the tip. Some people might think that it's only costing $50 and short change their stylist.

NO WAY!!! THATS SERIOUS $$$$ THAT YOU'RE LAYING OUT! The salon should seriously give you a discount for all those girls though! anyway, i don't think its rude!
