Anthony always tries to go on fireworks night with either his buddies or his brother

I only went a Met game ONCE .. when we were DATING ... (i was still in that 'wooing' stage..) And let's just say that unless is a subway series game at Shea, I will NOT be going back to Shea anytime soon thankyouverymuch!

See unfortunately I actually had to PROMISE Anthony that I would not 'create a scene' (as he called it) when I went to Shea that.. but then again the Mets were playing SO CRAPPY the day we went that even the diehard Mets fans were booing and yelling YOU SUC K So I was in my element after all

And he wouldn't take me to fireworks night because again, was afraid I woulnd't keep my promise! (heck I'm not really THAT BAD!)

But then Don ...how would i be able to tell you apart from the other Met BUTTHEADS

Shoot

now, i can understand going to a subway series game and rooting on the yanks and all that stuff

but if you happened to be at a met-expo game, by chance, why would you feel the need to vocally bash the mets when they are not playing your team

because i do have contempt for the METS organization much more than the team itself.....hence ALL teams are more worthy of praise than the METS.

EXCEPT the Soxs...i would root for the Mets in that game

Well I think I disagree with Red slightly here.. as I've said I've only been to Shea Stadium maybe 2x my entire life. In those times, I didn't go deliberately out of my way to root against the Mets at Shea... but if things started going sour for the Mets, I will jump up, cheer wildly and root 'for' the other team...

So no, I don't scream 'Mets S u c k' unprovoked , or just for yelling's sake.. but then again I HAD made a promise not to do this! So perhaps in diff. circumstances I would act differently It really would depend on the game, how I'm feeling, if there are obnoxious METS fans surrounding me, etc. (and yes I know its 'mets territory' but if they were going overboard, I'd find it hard to bite my tongue hold back)

Hence the reason I don't want to go to a Mets game in the 1st place!

And oh yes -- I'd make only one exception and would even have to root for the Mets vs the Sox if it ever came down to it. Whereas Don, I know you well enough to know that you would NEVER root for theYanks under any circumstances..

You mean you dont cheer if the opposing team is winning? I'm not doubting you, I just find it REALLY hard to believe you don't say a thing is all..
