Can I please have some prayers and well wishes??
For Vinny... About a year and a half ago (maybe a little less than that) Vinny decided he wanted to go back to school and become a Doctor. I firmly believe that, with his drive and intelligence, he is meant to save lives and make a huge difference in this world. Infact, to tie in weddings lol, we were watching Platinum Weddings the other night and the Groom was in a car accident that was caused by a drunk driver... There was a Doctor that performed a life saving surgery and that Doctor is the reason the Groom is alive today... So, they had the Doctor as a guest at their wedding.
It brought tears to my eyes and I said to Vinny- that will be you one day. Someone will be thanking you for being the reason they are alive.
I believe in him, he is smarter than anyone I know and since he came to me about a year and a half ago and said he wanted to go back to school he has been not only working himself like a DOG but attending College every spare minute he gets at CW Post. He made Highest Honors and the Dean's List and he has an overall average of 3.967!! He is almost done with the very last class he needs to fulfill his undergrad. With that, he also took a class that prepares you for your M-CATS which is the most important part of applying to Med Schools... So, he took that class and did very well and has been studying every single day for MONTHS now....
Well, the M-CATS are tomorrow.![]()
Exactly ONE month to the day of our wedding.
I apologize that this is long winded but it's a long time coming and well, all my posts are long winded![]()
I also apologize that I have not been around much-- I haven't even been around to answer FM's and things like that. We both never intended on him going back to school when we started planning this wedding and financially- it's been hard but, with one month left, I can firmly say that we made it!!! And it was so worth it.
Now, all that is left is this test and then the wedding-- and then seeing where he gets accepted into Medical School.
So, could I have some prayers, well wishes, a 'good luck' or two for Vinny??
Tomorrow is the biggest test of his life... of both our lives. It's amazing to think that it seems like YESTERDAY when he came to tell me that he wanted to go back to school and pursue his dream-- and asked for my support which, of course, I give 110%.
Thank you ladies-- I appreciate it.
