Can I vent...

So I guess im kinda over this whole planning thingJust wish it was done and over. FH went with his mom yesterday to look for dresses. don't get me wrong she is wonderful and I love her, but we sometimes I feel like we are from different worlds or at least think differently. We have been looking for a dress for a long time now and because there were some many requirements to the damn thing we couldn't find it. Like really she was all over the place... and every time I made a suggestion it got shot down right away... so I gave up and was like you deal with it b/c I cant and I'm not trying to get in a fight with her over it. Needless to say yesterday they went looking and apparently she found something that was OK... I see the pics of her and its the ugliest thing I have ever seen... really it is. I suggested we go to RK and see what they have- I saw some things that looked real nice....nope she already put a deposit on the ugly one and I quote' don't have the energy to do this anymore... this is fine'. I know in the grand scheme of things its not a big deal.. but O feel it should be... its her only son!! and her youngest for that fact!!! With all the drama we have had recently its like you should use this and moment to cheer up and be thankful for what you do have... I dunno all I know is I hate the damn dress! I really do...and there is nothing I can do about it... Sorry its so long

Honey....as long as you look gorgeous in your gown who cares if she picks an ugly dress....it's her problem, Don't stress over it. I was doing the same exact thing and I got to the point where I said as long as I look good I don't care what anyone else wears

But I def understand what you mean...it's frustrating.

I wouldnt stress it... focus on yourself ... besides she is going to be the one that looks bad in pics not you... not trying to be mean but true!

I know and you guys are totally right!!! Just keep telling myself that... its just so freaking annoying!!!

My mom is the complete opposite and i have to stop comparing her to my mom in certain instances. Just annoyed!!!!!

I wouldn't stress it!! FH's mom already has a dress already.. She is going to use one from a nice party she went to.. I don't blame her for using one... I'm not stressing her.. She knows and I know we have to different taste.. Its not a secret that I think she is tacky she knows it and I told her.. But its common with parents .. They are not always going to have the same taste as us..

Regardless worry about what your mother is wearing and not his... Don't you want your mom to look GORGEOUS too??
