I'm wondering if the bow on my dress makes it too 'cute' to wear a Swarovski (or other sparkly) necklace? Should I just go with pearls or maybe no necklace? Should I get rid of the bow? I'm not even sure what kind of tiara to get and I'm almost at the point where I'm going to call the dress store and have them make me a custom tiara (goodbye $$$) just to have this overwith. I'm going a little nutty today--can you tell?? Any help and pics would be great! Thanks!!!
Jennie- LOVE the dress it's gorgeous- I think you can wear a sparkly necklace- just go smaller on the earrings.

Hmmm...I wouldn't get rid of the bow...it sort of makes the dress. Personally, I would wear a strand of pearls with it. I guess it depends on what sort of earrings you would wear and what you are going to do with a headpiece. If you are going to have a tiara, you could do sparkly earrings and no necklace.

I personally would not wear a necklace, it would take away from the design of the dress. I would wear simple but elegant drop down earings.

I personally dont think that dress needs anything but elegant earrings. I'm not a big fan of necklaces with bridal gowns period. Keep it simple- that gown is gorgeous by the way!!

Great! Thank you girls so much for your help. I think going sans necklace is a good idea. I'll just stick with my tiara for some sparkle and either diamond studs or small drop earrings (maybe a pearl/diamond combo like these: ?). Earrings

I would suggest waiting for your first fitting to get a tiara unless you fall in love with one. Or go back and try the dress on with the sample tiaras that store has. Why? I have 3 tiaras and 2 sets of jewelry!! I decided no more purchasing until the dress comes in so I don't waste any more money than I already have!!

If those are mini swarovski crystals on your dress.. maybe you can go for matching earrings with those same crystals... something simple like:

For a second, I'd forgotten all about my Tiffany theme! The bow is perfect in that case.
cjb88--I love those earrings!! FH has some weird thing about dangly earrings though. That's why I only have 1 pair of chandelier earrings

i wouldn't take the bow off - i think that's part of it's charm. try ebay for tiaras. i also wouldn't get anything too much for the necklace because most of your embellishments ore already on the top part of the fress.

Personally, I would wear a diamond solitaire and diamond stud earrings. My parents gave me a solitaire for my 18th birthday - not huge - .50ct bezel set in white gold... but I think it would look beautiful with a bodice like that.
btw, i LOVE your dress- I wish I was happy with the way I look in a strapless!!!

I would definitely keep the bow. The dress is beautiful so I don't think you need the necklace and it may take away from the beautiful dress.
