Can I wear this to a wedding? *Update* 2nd option...
Original post by JamDancer
Ok, yes, I know, it's white. But between closing on our house on July 10, the wedding, and the gift for their wedding (their bedding!) this weekend, I really don't have $$ to buy a new dress...
The wedding is one of those where I get the impression that she is trying to make it nice, but the place they are having it is more casual (which is fine, just makes it hard to figure out how to dress!)
So all my dresses are either too fancy or TOO casual. This is my only higher-class-sundress
So from what you can tell, yes or no? I have a lei covering the top but it has brown straps, brown trip around the top and under the bust, and a brown sash that ties in the back.
Please take note of FH's 'Game Over' teeshirt lol.... this was at our Luau Eparty
Update: Is this one any better?? I know I know, still light.... apparently I go for light colors with semi-formal dresses

i think they are both pretty light. They are both really nice dresses and you look great in them both!
But they are both really light colored. The 2nd dress looks more formal... but if she is wearing a cream colored dress... it's cutting it really close. Maybe if you send her the pic and ask her about it? Then wear it if she is ok with that.
I was going to wear a black and white dress to a friend's wedding and i asked her about it... she said it was cool.... but I still felt uncomfortable and did my best to find another dress. I found one and wore that one instead. I just didn't want people to think I was being rude by wearing it. And I know me... I would have been sitting there analyzing everyones face to see if they were thinking about my black and white dress! haha!
