I voted.. 'Maybe'

I think that totally depends on the two people. (I assuming that we mean two single people.) I think that sometimes a single man and a single woman can be just friends.. and go out and do things and it's totally platonic. I have seen it myself.

(Just like Three's Company!.. LOL)

BUT.. I think that many a time... male-female friendships are based on certain attractions to a person of the oppoaite sex and that includes a sexual attraction. Even if no sex occurs, there can be a certain feeling of 'what if...'

One whether they admit it or not.. may have a certain feeling of a more amorous nature towards the other person..maybe not even at a conscious level. A lot of times, people discover they have fallen in love with a friend.

Love is said to be friendship caught on fire.

So while I think it is possible to be JUST friends.. and I KNOW that there is a sexual tension that I felt with female friends who were just friends.. I think there might always be a 'what if..' factor although this factor might be next to nil or nothing.

I sure hope that this made sense.
