We are getting married on a Saturday at 11:30 am. FH and I want to take pictures before the ceremony so we can spend the cocktail hour with our guests. So that means we have to have hair, make-up, etc. done first thing in the am. Our ceremony and reception are at the same place and only about 10 minutes from our house. What time should we begin hair, make-up, pictures etc. Oh and I would like to get pictures at the arboretum before we get to our ceremony site. I feel like we are going to be up at 4:00 am to get these things done!!

Re: Can someone give me an idea of their timeline
Normally, the photographer gets to the women about 1 hr before she leaves for a typical ceremony. (ie: my ceremony starts at 2:30, but we leave at 2:00. Photog gets where I am at 1:00) But I'm not getting pics done with my FH til after the ceremony.
I'd say you'd have to be ready for the photog 2 hours before your ceremony, 9:30. This means you must be dressed and fully done by 9:00. So, I'd say your hair and make-up must be done by 8:15 so you can get dressed. Of course, you must take into account how long your travel is to/from salon. Hope this helps.

Re: Can someone give me an idea of their timeline
If your ceremony starts at 11:30 am, I think it will be better to start getting ready no later than 7:30 in the morning. Ask your hair stylist also, I am sure they have done early weddings before. Depending on how many girls you have, then you know how to space your time out. My wedding starts at 3pm So I am going to get ready at 8:30-9 am. I have nine of us getting ready. So I have to start early. Good luck, Fm when you know what you are going to do.

Re: Can someone give me an idea of their timeline
I am also having the ceremony at 11:30am at the Westbury Manor followed by cocktail hour and reception.
7:30am - Makeup & Hair done at home. 9:30am - Limo picks up bridal party (girls) at home. 10:00am - begin to put on dress 10:30am - 11:30am - pictures with bridal party and maybe FH.
I am not sure if FH and I will trake pictures prior to ceremony b/c I really do not want him to see me but he wants to enjoy the cocktail hour. This is out dilema.

Re: Can someone give me an idea of their timeline
Thank you girls!! I still have to book a hair person, but when I do I will ask her what she thinks. I am having hair and make-up come to my house so I can save some time.
