Trunk Shows.

If you see something you like at a Trunk Show do you purchase it then and there? Is it discounted?

Usually...you have to purchase it on the spot and there is a 10,15,20% discount depending on the store and designer.

I purchased my dress during a trunk show and I got 10% off my dress.

My sister bought her veil at a trunk show..... She got a 30% discount on the item and purchased it on the spot. The bridal shop had it cleaned and held onto it for her until she needed it. I am not sure how it works for bridal gowns though.

Chloegirl is correct - at a trunk show you get to see the designer's newest line of dresses and can order the one you want at a discounted price of usually 10-15% off.

I think I may be a bit of a rare case - I went to Kleinfelds back in July on a sample sale day the same day that a designer was having a trunk show. My dress was a trunk show sample in excellent condition, and I got it for half price. Whether buying a trunk show sample is common or not - I don't know - but it's definitely worth asking about!

I bought mine from a trunk sale as well. It was from the newest line, and I got 15% off if I bought it that day. Then they placed the order.
A sample sale is different- that is the sale where you can go in and buy & take it home on the spot- since they are selling the samples that they keep in the store, which have been tried on etc.
