Can someone please educate me on the jewish religion regarding wedding showers
There is this girl here getting married in 2 months i want to throw her a small work shower
another coworker said the in the jewish religion, they dont do baby or bridal showers...
Is that true? is even a work shower going to offend her?

Typically Jewish people don't do baby showers until after the baby is born - there are some long-standing superstitions about doing things before you are 100% sure the baby is going to be OK.
As for wedding showers, I'm not sure about ultra-religious Jews, but we've always done bridal showers with my family/friends. I'm a reform Jew, though - a conservative or orthodox bride or groom may want to weigh in on this one.

i agree with this. find out how religious she is. ive heard of no baby showers (even tho i want one ), but ive never heard of no bridal shower.

yeah, depends on how dedicated she is to her practice. Actually, I know some fairly involved Jews who have had bridal showers but would not have a baby shower.
